Our Story

Having spent our childhood growing up in different parts of the world, we were lucky enough to meet during our first week of enrolment at the University of Derby. Two 18 year-olds, both nervous and excited to embark on the next big stage of life. We very quickly became good friends and spent the next 4 years getting to know each other and creating life long memories.

Our love blossomed in our final year of university, as we spent pretty much all of our time together, working very closely and supporting each other towards our degree final. After we had handed in our assignments and graduated, we realised we didn’t want to be apart and that we wanted to continue to spend our time together, as a couple.

For the next 10 years our love has taken us through numerous jobs and house moves until we settled in Stapleford, Nottingham, where we bought our first house together. Half way through the house renovations, we surprised our family with a pregnancy announcement, which became a big motivation to crack on with the renovations and prepare the house for a new little addition to the family.

2023 was a BIG year for us! Our little Maxwell came into the world and turned our lives upside down, we couldn’t be happier!

Or so we thought…

Until Thomas decided to take Elena away on the most romantic weekend in York, wine and dine her and finally get down on one knee to propose.
